You can donate it to Workaid a charity which tackles poverty in developing countries by supplying disadvantaged people with the tools they need to earn a living. If you have tools to donate, please phone 01494 775220 or email admin@workaid.org and you will be put in touch with your nearest area organiser.
You can donate it to a charity shop.
You can sell them it a car boot sale or use a number of online platforms including Gumtree, Friday-Ad, Facebook selling pages and other online platforms.
You can also give it away for free through Freegle.
How? Workaid accept a wide variety of haberdashery including;
Workaid tackles poverty in developing countries by supplying disadvantaged people with the tools they need to earn a living.
Workaid collect unwanted items from all over the UK, repair them and send them to vocational training projects, mostly in East Africa. They have an efficient network of 100 volunteers who co-ordinate tools collections.
Every year, Workaid helps over 9,000 people break the cycle of poverty and rebuild their lives. They assist projects working with orphans, street children, unemployed teenagers, disabled people, people living with HIV/AIDS, widows and refugees.
