Yes cooking oil can be recycled.

They accept the following waste vegetable oils; maize, olive, palm, rapeseed, Soya, sunflower, safflower, sesame, almond, coconut, groundnut, peanut and walnut oil.
Do not worry about small particles of food matter left in the oil - this will be sieved out. However the scheme won't accept oil contaminated with animal fat.
