  • Pens - broken

Pens - broken

Yes pens which are broken or are without ink can be recycled.

RECYCLED
Where?

  • Rymans, Brighton at, 55-56 North Street, Brighton, BN1 1RH.

How?

  • They can accept the following pens for recycling regardless of brand or material and whether they work or not;

    • Ballpoint pens
    • Felt tip pens
    • Propelling pens
    • Correction fluid pens
    • Markers
    • Highlighters

    The pens are sent to TerraCycle Writing Instruments Programme where they are processed and made into new products.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • BIC alone sells over 8 billion pens. Combine that with the many other pen manufacturers, the writing implement manufacturers and other office supply companies and you have a huge amount of potential for waste.
  • Once collected by Terracycle the pens are cleaned and sorted into their constituent parts. Each batch of different plastics will be melted down and recycled into new plastic. From there they will re-enter the production chain to find a new lease of life as other products, even new pens.

Slow Down. Consume Less. Share More. Help give your planet a cleaner, greener future...
