Wrapping Paper

Yes wrapping paper can be reused and some can be recycled.

REUSE

  • Please reuse wrapping paper as many times as possible.
  • Please be careful when unwrapping gifts so you can preserve the wrapping paper to reuse.

RECYCLE
Where?
Please do the scrunch test first to identify your wrapping paper; if when you scrunch it up, it stays scrunched, then it is paper and can be recycled. If it bounces back it is plastic and/or foil and cannot be recycled.

  • Standard wrapping paper can be included in your kerbside recycling or communal recycling.
  • Alternatively please take them to the Brighton Household Waste & Recycling site on Wilson Avenue or the Hove Household Waste & Recycling site on the Old Shoreham Road and include in the paper recycling container. See here for exact locations and opening times. For more details contact City Clean on 01273 292929.
