Oceans 8

Ocean's 8 Brighton was inspired by the Hollywood movie, Ocean's 8, a 2018 American heist comedy featuring an ensemble cast, including Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Awkwafina, Rihanna, and Helena Bonham Carter. The film is both a continuation and a spin-off from Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's 11 trilogy.

Ocean's 8 Brighton features an ensemble cast of woman leading environmental initiatives in Brighton. With a combined experience of 100+ years, these women have the skills and dedication to make a real difference to how we connect with our oceans.

Ocean's 8 delivered the first ever Big Pride Beach Clean in 2019. 

• More than a 1,000 people sign up for Brighton Pride Beach Clean.
• Joint effort to clean streets and beaches post-Pride declared a resounding success.
• Brighton Pride:Beach covered with laughing gas canisters.

Plans were underway for the Big Pride Beach Clean when the pandemic arrived in January 2020. Pride was cancelled in 2020 and 2021.
