Global Warming and Climate Change are a modern-day challenge requiring us all to understand and practise sustainable living. This subject is vast, touching every aspect of our daily living and beyond. To acquire the knowledge to transition our lives, we can look to our schools, colleges, and universities to understand how to achieve this. Typically learning is organised through a curriculum providing a framework outlining the overall content of the programme.
One Planet Living (OPL) is one such framework. Developed by environmental charity Bioregional and WWF in 2003, One Planet Living consists of ten simple principles that make it easy to plan, deliver and communicate actions leading to sustainable living. Did you know the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by all United Nations members in 2015 are based on One Planet Living?
The Green Centre has been practising One Planet Living since 2013 through a programme of community activities. We also offer workshops which cover the One Planet Living framework and the 10 individual principles. We can tailor a workshop to meet your specific requirements. Please contact us for more details.
